A friend recommended this place and the online reviews seemed promising, but I left feeling a bit disappointed. The presentation of the food was beautiful, but unfortunately, the flavours didn’t quite match the price point. However, the dining environment was lovely—set by the river, it’s a beautiful spot to enjoy a meal.

This place is sensational. The spinach and ricotta sausage roll was delicious. The bliss nourish bowl with Haloumi added was so healthy and tasted so good. The banging breakfast burger was huge and tasted great too. Place has a 10% surcharge on weekends so be aware of that. Meal was quite pricey with the above dishes and two coffees. Views on back deck were nice and it was peaceful.

We are locals and have lived in the area for 12 years, but we finally went to Ancora this weekend. It's a pretty spot with nice coffee and delicious food. I think my trawl roll was the best breakfast I've had in a while (we go out for breakfast every weekend). My 4-year-old also loved the croissants and ate all of them, which is a very rare occasion for my little picky eater . The downside was that the cafe was very busy, had very little parking space, and the service took almost 40 minutes on Sunday from 10-11 am. Nevertheless, the food is really delicious at a reasonable price, so we thought we will come back!

Location is well worth a visit alone! Natural riverside setting with expansive tree canopies giving plenty of shade is special cafe experience. Coffees were on point! Iced lattes made with beans fron local roasters is much appreciated. Salmon croissant benedict with side of halloumi was excellent Warmed fresh baked almond croissants rank as our favourite in all of Qld! We paid much more in gold coast top cafes for much less inferior quality. Carrot cake was so good we ordered a second share. Food and drinks came to table a bit erratically but couldn't complain too much given beauty of location and friendly staff. Definately on pricey side but lesser extent compared to peer cafes. Will definately have to come back

Lovely bakery & cafe on the waterfront at Tweed. I've been several times & it's always excellent food and service. The nourish bowl is highly recommended.
